Chris is an ordained member of Tiep Hien (The Order of Interbeing) founded by Thich Nhat Hanh. He strives everyday to manifest the spirit of Thich Nhat Hanh, and the spirit of Tiep Hien (the spirit of non-attachment from views, the spirit of direct experimentation on the nature of interdependent origination through meditation, the spirit of appropriateness, and the spirit of skillful means) as well as to live the best he can by the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings.

Chris has been a practitioner with the Florida Community of Mindfulness and a student of FCM's teacher Fred Eppsteiner for over a decade. Aspiring to be of service to the community, he has served on FCM's Board of Directors, on FCM's Order of Interbeing Council, was a FCM Dharma Instructor, and has completed both FCM’s three year Dharma Transmission Program and Presenter Training Program.

Chris is also a student of Geshe Tenzin Gelek of the Tibetan Bon tradition and Menri Monastery, India. Where he studies and practices the oral teachings in the Great Perfection from the Bon tradition. Over the years, he's also had wonderful teachers such as, Lama Lena (Yeshe Kaytup), Geshe Chaphur Rinpoche, and the monastics of Plum Village to help guide him along the path.

Chris has been fortunate to have received teachings and transmissions from His Holiness 34th Menri Trizin Lungtok Dawa Dargye Rinpoche, the spiritual leader of Bön and the abbot of Menri Monastery, Khenpo Nyima Dhondup Rinpoche, the Abbot of the Bön Dialectic School at Menri Monastery, and His Eminence Menri Ponlob Rinpoche, head teacher at Menri Monastery

Chris lives in Florida, where he has helped with the Caloosahatchee Rising Tide sangha, the local FCM sangha, and was previously a board member of Hearts' Path to Mindful Living. He received his BA in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University, holds the rank of Sho-dan in the Shito-Ryu Karate-Do, and currently works as a software quality assurance engineer, loving husband, and father of his children.

Chris also has a degree in Emergency Medical Services Technology, was an nationally registered EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), and currently is trained in CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) where he aspires to doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
